Under eye wrinkles are probably the first thing that we see when we start to worry about our age.
In reality, they are a result on our skin more so than they are a result of our age.
What are under eye wrinkles
Whether you call these little nuisances crow’s feet, smile line, or just eye wrinkles, you have probably named them more than a few times since you turned 25.
The reason these lines pop up is that your body loses its ability to replace the collagen and elastin proteins that keep your skin vibrant, supple, and elastic. Sometimes also, appear because of bad nutrition or lack of certain vitamins. Vitamins A,C, E and K are important if you want a wrinkle free, balanced and resistant to aging skin.
First we could say it starts with fine lines, then these lines turn into deeper lines which we call wrinkles. Those wrinkles and lines cause creases or ridges that form around your eyes, and aging you.
The skin around your eyes is different from some of your other skin, because it does not create hydration to replace its moisture and because we are constantly touching or rubbing our eyes, there is a real lack of moisture.
Add into that the fact that we have repetitive facial motions like laughing, squinting, and scrunching, your skin gets worn out. The natural deterioration of your skin will lead to those wrinkles and lines that form, and before long, you start to look like your grandmother.
What causes these eye wrinkles and fine lines?
The first weapon you will need to combat these eye wrinkles is the weapon of knowledge.
Wrinkles are caused by different things, the most of them are below:
- Facial movements and expression
- Sun exposure
Environmental reasons, for example, which have to do with extreme weather conditions or even pollution. “Unhealthy” environmental conditions can cause free radicals attack the healthy cells in our bodies and therefore make signs of aging appear.
Other reasons for these signs of skin aging can include lack of proper cleansing which can imbalance the levels of moisture in the skin. Therefore, when the levels of hydration are low, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can come even sooner.
Nevertheless, the problem does not stop there, of course, because it really isn’t bad enough for mother nature. You also get dark circles, puffiness, and even discoloration under your eyes. They do not affect the same area, but they can make the situation that much worse.
